Your Bengali Recipes

Like most of you must be knowing by now, I am not a resident baangaali, meaning, I have, and still, continue, to live outside Bengal (though someday I would love to live in this beautiful city). Another confession - I am no great cook, I'm just a very regular cook, and I am not taking credit for the recipes mentioned on this blog (unless specifically mentioned).

I know many of you who have some amazing home-cooked recipes, ones that have been a family special, a hit at parties and a favourite with friends. I would love to share them here, of course with your name and photograph and a picture of the finished dish as made by you.
